Hyundai Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept

Hyundai revealed today at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show the Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept, which is basically a convertible version of the standard coupe. The canvas soft-top of the Hyundai Veloster C3 can be rolled both forwards and backwards. This is very useful when rolling it forwards, since it makes the Veloster offer a lot more cargo area. For instance, you could carry your bicycle or surfboard there. To offer more functionality to the Veloster C3, Hyundai replaced the hatchback of the coupe with a tailgate. The Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept was developed by Hyundai Design North America, to be the right tool when going surfing, biking or kayaking. Other features of the Hyundai's Veloster Convertible include larger exhaust pipes, a distinctive intake sound, a new front grille, re-styled side skirts, and a rear diffuser. The convertible Veloster is equipped with 18-inch alloys and LED DRLs.

The Hyundai Veloster C3 is powered by the 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine, which develops 201 hp at 6,000 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque from 1,750 to 4,500 rpm. So far, Hyundai did not mention whether or not the Veloster cabrio is going into production.
