The Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec had its world debut today at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Hyundai's R-Spec Veloster Turbo is powered by the same 1.6-liter, direct-injected, turbocharged engine as the standard model, which means it has an output of 201 hp and 264 Nm of torque. The Veloster Turbo R-Spec is equipped with a re-tuned sport suspension and steering systems, higher spring rates and a more rigid transmission mount. Hyundai equips the Veloster Turbo R-Spec with a 6-speed manual transmission and a short-throw B&M Sport Shifter. Other highlights of the Veloster Turbo R-Spec include Red styling accents on the front splitter and side skirts, sport seats and various logos on different parts of the car. The Veloster Turbo R-Spec comes with Hyundai's full range of safety and driver aid systems.

These include Torque Vectoring Control (TVC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and active braking.

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec's price is set at $22,110, including the $810 destination charge. The new model will go on sale in February next year.
