Hyundai announced today the Veloster's price list for the United states market. The Hyundai Veloster will be available on the U.S. market in two versions, with either a 6-speed manual transmission, or with a 6-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch gearbox. Both versions of the Veloster will be powered by Hyundai's 1.6-liter Gasoline-Direct-Injected (GDI) four-cylinder engine, which offers a 29 mpg fuel economy in the city, 38 mpg on the highway and a 32 mph combined fuel consumption. The Veloster comes with front-wheel-drive only and aims to play on the same market segment as VW's Beetle, the Scion tC and BMW's Mini Cooper. The Veloster weighs 2,584 lbs, which is less than its rivals, and develops 138 hp. This gives it the best specific output in its class.
The equipment list of the Hyundai Veloster includes a multi-function 7-inch touch-screen Gracenote display, Pandora internet radio and voice recognition.
The Hyundai Veloster price list starts at $17,300 USD for the manual version. The automatic Veloster will cost you at least $18,550 USD.
