The Hyundai Veloster Velocity Concept is going to have its world debut at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Based on the Turbo version of the Veloster, the Velocity Concept has been developed in collaboration with the carmaker's Design and Engineering department in the USA and Cosworth. The engine of the Hyundai Veloster Velocity was developed by Cosworth based on the standard 1.6-liter, direct-injected motor. It develops 400 hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. To get the extra juice, Cosworth fitted the Velocity Veloster performance pistons, rods, a new turbocharger and intercooler, an intake manifold, a new intake-charging design, a fuel system and a new engine management system.

Apart from the extra power, the Hyundai Veloster Velocity also features Brembo brakes with 4-piston calipers and two-piece rotors, Bilstein springs with monotube dampers, Kumho Ecsta SPT 275/35R19 high performance tires.

Hyundai's Velocity Veloster Turbo features a bespoke body kit that includes a new front spoiler with an integrated splitter, side skirts, a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, and a large rear wing. At the interior, the Veloster Turbo Velocity features Sparco racing equipment, a Race-Keeper video GPS data acquisition system, and a roll bar.
