Hyundai Vision G Coupe Concept

Hyundai revealed today the new Vision G Coupe concept at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The Hyundai Vision G previews a future two-door four seat coupe. From the way the concept looks, it appears the production version of the Hyundai Vision G aims to be a high-end premium vehicle. Hyundai even plans to display the Vision G coupe concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, August 16 in Monterey, California. The official specs say the Hyundai Vision G is powered by the 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine that puts out 420 hp at 6,000 rpm and 383 lb. ft. of torque at 5,000 rpm. This is comparable to the BMW M3 (E92) coupe, which is also powered by the 420 hp V8 engine. The Hyundai Vision G comes equipped with high-pressure direct injection and it promises to offer low emissions and good fuel efficiency.

Some of the highlights of the Hyundai Vision G's engine include a low-torque exhaust manifold, an increased compression ratio, revised multiple-injection mapping, an optimized intake runner length, enhanced timing chain for reduced friction and NVH. Hyundai says that these modifications offer a flatter torque curve at low revs. This means that you won't get an explosion of power immediately after you touch the gas pedal.

In terms of design, Hyundai says the Vision G aims to be "understated, despite its size and dramatic lines". The new concept is meant to inspire luxury and elegance.

We'll have more details regarding the Hyundai Vision G as soon as they are available.
