Hyundai has released today the first sketches of the new Hyundai i40W, the station wagon version of the i40. Designed in developed at the company's R7D European division, the Hyundai i40W wagon will have its world debut at the Geneva Autos how in March 2011. The design of the Hyundai i40W wagon also gives an idea regarding the exterior styling of the four-door sedan which will be reveled at a later date. although developed in EU, the Hyundai i40W wagon will also be sold later in the USA, probably from 2012.

The Hyundai i40W wagon will be also with a range of engines, including a 1.6-liter GDI developing 140 hp and a 1.7-liter CRDI diesel engine with either 115 bhp or 176 bhp.

The top of the range Hyundai i40W wagon will be powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 174 bhp. Later in the model's life, the Hyundai i40W wagon will be offered with a more powerful engine, but the exact details of this model have not been released yet.

The Hyundai i40W wagon measures 4.77 m in length, 1.71 m in width and 1.47 m in height and has a 520-liter luggage compartment.



The Hyundai i40W wagon will be sold with the standard six-speed manual gearbox, or a newly developed double-clutch transmission.
