Jaguar C X17 Concept

Jaguar revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show the new C-X17 Sports Crossover Concept, which most probably previews one of Jag's future off-road oriented models. The Jaguar C-X17 measures 4,718 mm in length, 1,649 mm height, and 1,959 mm in width. It has a 2,905 mm long wheelbase and a 213 mm of ground clearance. So far, Jaguar did not disclose any specific details about the C-X17's engine. However, they do mention that its production version is going to be available with various petrol and diesel units. Jaguar hopes that the C-X17 is going to break the 100g CO2/km barrier. The C-X17 will most probably get the V6 engine found in the current F-Type too. The C-X17 Jag is built upon a newly developed aluminum monocoque architecture, on which all future Jaguars will be based on.

The Jaguar CX17 comes equipped with Torque Vectoring by Braking, and an intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. For the interior of the C-X17, Jaguar has developed a new panoramic glass roof, individual bucket seats, a two-tone leather upholstery, and a unique Interactive Surface Console, which runs the length of the car’s center tunnel. This console connects the passengers and driver via a secure in-car Wi-Fi network. The CX17 is also equipped with a Meridian premium sound system with 12 speakers, a twin-dial configurable TFT console instead of the classic instrument panel, and a Head Up Display.

The date on which the Jaguar C-X17 concept will go into production has not been announced yet. The full details and specifications of the CX17 can be found here.
