Lancia Stratos GT2

 »  »  »

Our Italian sources are reporting today that the new Lancia Stratos, made as a one-off vehicle for collector Michael Stoschek, might go into racing. The first images of the Lancia Stratos GT2 have surfaced the web today. To get homologated for FIA racing however, they will have to build at least 25 units of the Lancia Stratos GT2. This means the new Lancia Stratos will not be a one-off vehicle anymore. Even more, the Lancia Stratos GT2 could also be used for endurance racing, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nurburgring 24-Hour. These are all speculations at the moment, and the Lancia Stratos GT2 you see wearing the blue livery in these renderings, might actually never become a reality.

The one-off vehicle on which the Lancia Stratos GT2

will be based on, is built on a Ferrari 430 Scuderia chassis and has a 2.25 kg per hp power-to-weight ratio.

We'll have more details on the new Lancia Stratos GT2 as soon as they become available.
