The Japanese carmaker revealed today the hybrid Lexus LC 500h, which is going to have its world debut next month at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The Lexus LC 500h coupe measures 4,760 mm (187.4 in) in length, 1,920 mm (75.6 in) in width and 1,345 mm (52.9 in) in height. It has a 2,870 mm (112.9 in) long wheelbase. The official specifications say that the Lexus LC 500h is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine that puts out 220 kW at 6,600 rpm and 348Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm. According the official specs, the electric motor of the hybrid powertrain puts out an additional 44.6 kW. As a result, the total horsepower output of the Lexus LC 500h is rated at 354 hp (264 kW). In terms of performance, the Lexus LC 500h is rated with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of under 5 seconds.
The Lexus LC 500h comes with a front engine rear-wheel-drive architecture and a 4-speed automatic gearbox mounted at the rear of the hybrid transmission. This new system of the Lexus LC 500h, which is called a "Multi Stage Hybrid System", also offer a manual shifting mode.
The Lexus LC 500h comes with a carbon fiber structure and aluminum body panels, including the hood, the fenders, the doors, and other parts. The coupe's roof is made of carbon and its boot lid is made of a carbon and glass composite material.
The Lexus LC 500h's equipment list includes arrowhead Daytime Running Lights (DRL) with a triple LED headlights, a choice between 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels, a next-generation touch pad for the Remote Touch Interface (RTI), a Mark Levinson audio system or a standard Pioneer audio system, and a leather and Alcantara upholstery. As far as safety goes, the Lexus LC 500h is equipped with a Pre-Crash Safety (PCS) system with a pedestrian detection function, All-speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keeping Assist (LKA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).
