Lexus LF LC Blue Concept

The Lexus LF-LC Concept was unveiled for the first time at Detroit auto show back in January. Back then it was just a design concept. However, since then, Lexus gave it a hybrid powertrain, painted it blue and presented it at the Australian International Motor show. Now called the Lexus LF-LC Blue, the concept is one step closer to production. To keep the weight down, Lexus built the LF-LC Blue using carbon fiber and aluminum. The LF-LC Blue's powertrain is called the Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive. It uses a petrol internal combustion engine and an electric motor. The LF-LC Blue's hybrid system uses a high-energy battery pack that's able to offer more power than the carmaker's current system, while being smaller.

According to Lexus, the LF-LC Blue concept delivers a massive 500bhp (372kW). This puts the coupe at the top of the food chain when it comes to high-performance hybrid supercars.
