The first image of the Mercedes CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake, along with its full specifications, have been leaked over the web last night. As expected, the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is powered by the 5.5-liter (5,461 cc) V8 engine that puts out 386 kW between 5,250 and 5,750 rpm and 700 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. According to Mercedes, the CLS63 AMG estate is able to rocket all your groceries from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). The engine of the high-performance CLS63 Shooting Brake is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission. For lower fuel consumption, since it does have quite a large and powerful engine, Mercedes equips their coupe station wagon with the ECO Start-Stop function.
The CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is rated with a 14.0 liters / 100 km fuel consumption in the city, with a 7.8 liters / 100 km fuel economy on the highway and with 10.1 liters / 100 km in the combined cycle. The CO2 emissions are rated at 235 g/km.
The Mercedes CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is equipped with Multi-link suspension on all four corners, Monroe dampers, coil springs on the front and an air suspension on the rear.
On the down side, even though it outputs 517 hp, the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is one heavy machine. Its curb weight is 1.955kg, and Mercedes says it can carry a maximum payload of 660 kg.
The Mercedes CLS63 Shooting Brake comes equipped with the AMG DRIVE UNIT with E-SELECT, which allows the driver to setup the behavior of the ESP, the driving modes and the chassis characteristics individually. Its instrument cluster includes a RACETIMER and an AMG start-up display. The CLS63 Shooting Brake is also equipped with sport seats covered in Nappa leather, brushed stainless steel door sills, sport pedals, and an analog clock designed by ICW.
