All the details and the first official images of the new Mercedes CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake have just been released. We'll get straight to the point. The power of the CLS63 AMG estate comes from the 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine that's good for 386 kW (525 hp) at 5250-5750 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 1750-5250 rpm. The Edition 1 version of the CLS63 AMG wagon outputs 410 kW (557 hp) at 5250-5750 rpm and 800 Nm at 2000-4500 rpm. Both versions have a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The standard CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake needs 4.4 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) trip, while the Edition 1 is able to do it in just 4.3 seconds. The CLS63 Shooting Brake's fuel economy is rated at 10.1 liters per 100 kilometers (NEDC) and its CO2 emissions at 235 g/km. Naturally, the car is equipped with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.

Apart from being madly powerful, the Mercedes CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake is also comfortable and very practical. It has an AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension and a boot, which can be extended to up to 1550 liters. To make it as efficient as possible, Mercedes ships it with an ECO start/stop function. The Mercedes CLS63 Shooting Brake also comes with a 3-stage ESP with a SPORT Handling mode, a 56-mm wider track, and an optional ceramic high-performance composite braking system (360 mm ventilated and perforated brake discs on all four corners).



The distinctive design features of the CLS63 Shooting Brake include a new front apron and grille, a modified bonnet, wider wheel arches, a new rear apron with an integrated diffuser, and LED headlamps. The CLS63 station wagon comes with an Intelligent Light System and with adaptive Highbeam Assist.

At the interior, Mercedes equips the CLS63 Shooting Brake with Nappa leather, sport seats, an IWC analogue clock, and a RACETIMER.

The Mercedes CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake's price has not been announced yet. The German carmaker says it's going to put it on sale in October 2012.
