Mercedes announced that it will premiere an SLS AMG emergency medical car at the 2011 RETTmobil show on May 11, 2011. So far the company did not disclose any details regarding the Mercedes SLS AMG medical car, apart from the obvious modifications seen in the sketch they released. The SLS medical vehicle will features a special "Emergency" livery, together with special ambulance style roof lights. Mercedes probably put more upgrades at the interior of the SLS AMG medical car, to better suit its purpose.
Mercedes is not the only manufacturer to transform one of its supercars in an utility vehicle. Lamborghini does it too with the Gallardo Polizia, which is used mainly for transporting organs needed in various
transplants. Merc's SLS AMG Medical Car could be used for the same purpose.
Apart from this special SLS, Mercedes will also display at this year's RETTmobil a C Class developed for security, and a rescue vehicle based on the E Class.
