The first official images and details of the Mercedes SLS AMG have leaked over the web today. The Mercedes SLS AMG is set to have its debut next week at the Frankfurt Auto Show before going into production late in 2010. The Mercedes SLS AMG is powered by usual 6.3-liter V8 engine developing 563 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque which are sent to the rear wheels thanks to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Mercedes SLS AMG weighs just under 1,600 kg and thanks to the powerplant under its hood is able to get from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The top speed of the Mercedes SLS AMG is just shy of 200 mph, being rated by the manufacturer at 197 mph.
The Mercedes SLS AMG will come equipped with carbon ceramic brake discs, a navigation system and all the other gizmos you would expect from a top of the line Merc. The color choices for the Mercedes SLS AMG include red, silver and gray with a leather and Alcantara interior.
The Mercedes SLS AMG price will be just under 180,000 Euros.
