Various sources have reported today the new Opel Calibra returns. The new Opel Calibra will be a sleek coupe that will feature a new face of the brand that was premiered by the new Insignia. The new Opel Calibra will be just above the new Astra and will fall in the same segment as the new Scirocco and the forth coming Peugeot 308 RC Z.
The design of the new Opel Calibra will be a mixture of elements from the GTC Concept and the Insignia. The power of the new Opel Calibra will come from a 2.0-litre diesel engine with just under 160 hp or a 2.0-litre diesel 1.6 turbo petrol engine with 177bhp. A much powerful 2.0 turbo petrol engine is also expected on the new Opel Calibra developing around 250 hp.
The Opel Calibra price and the unveiling date are not yet certain.
