Renault Captur (2014)

Renault revealed today the full details, specifications and the UK price list of the production version of the Captur concept. The Renault Captur was premiered back in February 2011 as a design concept. The new Renault Captur (2014) aims to blend an MPV, an SUV and a hatchback into a single vehicle. It features large wheels, a high ground clearance and a wide track. The Renault Captur is just a bit longer than a Clio, but it promises 455 litres of luggage space. With the rear bench folded down the boot space is increased to 1,235 liters. Renault fitted the Captur with an 11-liter large drawer-type glove box compartment, washable seat covers and the R-Link multimedia tablet. Renault's Captur comes with a range of engines, most of them equipped with Stop&Start technology, which reduces the car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Renault is going to sell the Captur with one of the following engines: the 3-clinder 989cc Energy TCe 90, the 4-cylinder 1.2-liter TCe 120 EDC, and the Energy dCi 90 (76.4 mpg, 95g of CO2 per km). The EDC stands for the Efficient Dual Clutch transmission.

The Renault Captur's price for the UK market starts at £12,495 GBP OTR for the entry level Expression TCe 90 Stop&Start and it goers as high as £18,895 GBP OTR for the top of the range Dynamique S Media Nav dCi 90 Auto EDC version.
