Scion iQ At 2011 SEMA

Scion will display at the 2011 SEMA show three new concepts based on their iQ mini model. The three Scion iQs are designed by Michael Chang, Jon Sibal and Tatsu and they will be entered in the event's Tuner Challenge. The Scion iQ-RS, which was developed by Michael Chang, received the motorsport treatment. It features various carbon fiber aerodynamics parts, an Air Runner suspension, Advan alloys and Sparco racing bucket seats.

The Scion iQ RX, which was styled by Jon Sibal, features a Veilside body kit, a matte metallic grey and bronze pearl exterior finish, Nitrous Express injection kit. Sibal's Scion iQ also comes with an Air Runner suspension and sits on HRE forged 18-inch rims.

Mavrik Motorsports is "responsible" for building Tatsu’s iQ-MR, which has a very serious modification. Instead of the standard front-engine layout, the Tatsu Scion iQ now has its powerplant at the rear. The car also features Speciality Cars body panels and Axis 16-inch Sakura wheels.

Apart from three Scions we mentioned, Toyota will also display at the 2011 SEMA the Pit Boss Cartel iQ. This is a chop-top version of the iQ, designed to work as a racing pits support vehicle. The car does not have a roof anymore, but it does have smaller doors, carbon fiber seats and interior panels made of metal.

The 2011 SEMA show opens its gates on 1 November at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
