Porsche decided today to let us explore the cockpit of their new Le Mans racer, the 919 Hybrid. The main focus is on the car's steering wheel. Yes, Le Mans racers have just as complex steering wheels as Formula 1 cars do. Porsche also released today a diagram that shows the purpose of each button. The German carmaker describes this steering wheel as being a virtual "computer", and who are we to say otherwise? What you won't see in these photos is the multifunctional screen in the center of the steering wheel. You can't expect them to give up all the secrets now, can you? The main issue nowadays is having too much information. Just look at that dashboard. It's become really difficult to process all that data. Just imagine the hurricane that's inside every racing driver's head these days.
