Vath recently took the job of restoring this classic Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3, which was manufactured between 1968 and 1972. The elegant W109 four-door sedan is powered by a 6,332cc V8 engine which when it was new it had an output of 250 PS at 4,000 rpm and a very serious 510 Nm of torque at 2,800 rpm. With this powertrain, the Mercedes 300 SEL was able to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.5 seconds and had a top speed of 220 km/h. Of course, as the years passed, this figures also became less impressive. To bring it back to its previous glory days, Vath restored its engine compartment, overhauled its engine and axles and restored its exterior and interior.

The aftermarket specialists from Vath say they can restore any Mercedes model from 1953, including the Adenauer, the 300SL, and the 190SL, the Heckflosse, the Pagode, and the SL W107. The price of the restoration of this Mercedes 300 SEL was not disclosed. We guess it depends on the amount of work required by the process.
