The tuners from Speedriven revealed this week a heavily modified Mercedes CL600 that puts out no less than 1,000 hp! Speedriven's 1,000 hp Mercedes CL600 is a sleeper. Apart from the massive rear tires it looks identical to the standard version of the CL600. Speedriven Mercedes CL600 is powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V12 engine. The power kit includes, among others, two Garrett turbochargers, a cold air intake system, a custom intercooler and a new exhaust manifold. To develop the 1,000 hp, the Speedriven Mercedes CL600 has to be powered by ethanol, not regular pump gas. The 1,000 hp have been measured at the crank, not at the wheels. Speedriven claim that their beast is able to run the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds.
Unfortunately, they did not disclose the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of their Mercedes CL600, nor its top speed.
