The notorious German tuners from VATH Automobiltechnik revealed today a new upgrade program for the Mercedes CL500. Even though there's a new generation 2011 Mercedes CL Class now, VATH channeled their attention this time on the previous model of the Mercedes CL500. The VATH CL500 is still powered by the large coupe's standard 5.5-liter engine, but it received a healthy increase in output. VATH's CL500 develops 460 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The extra horsepower of the VATH Mercedes CL500 comes from sport camshafts, stainless steel sport catalysts and air filters, stainless steel manifolds and rear silencer.

The aftermarket specialists from VATH also removed the top speed limiter on Merc's CL500,

so now the luxury coupe can reach 290 km/h.

VATH's new body kit for the Mercedes CL500 includes a new front spoiler, a rear diffuser and trunk-lip spoiler, all made from carbon fiber.

For the Mercedes CL500's interior, VATH is offering various car trim parts, a sport steering wheel, and a 360 km/h speedometer.

The VATH Mercedes CL500 sits on 20-inch forged wheels with 245/30ZR20 tires at the front and 285/25ZR20 at the rear, a three-way adjustable sports suspension and a performance braking system.

The price for the VATH Mercedes CL500 upgrades has not been announced yet.
