Mercedes has released a video of a prototype Mercedes CL 550 that can be driven via mobile phone, by posting to Twitter. Yup! That's right! The engineer testing it can control the headlights of the Mercedes CL by posting "lights" on Twitter, can accelerate and brake the Merc the same way, and can make it turn. At the end of the test, they even manage to park the Mercedes CL 550 right beside an SLS AMG.
Actually, this is a new viral advertising campaign launched by Mercedes USA for this year's Super Bowl. Unfortunately, you can't drive a Mercedes SL by posting to Twitter. At least no yet. Imagine a misspelling that sends the SL flying directly into an SLS AMG. Now that would be an expensive mistake...
