The law enforcement agencies from Philadelphia, USA, released this video showing a Dodge Caliber running over a 7-Eleven employee on June 9, 2011. The event was caught by a security camera mounted outside the 7-Eleven. After the unfortunate event, the driver, who was later identified as 32-year-old Wilaisha Rankins, fled the scene, without even looking to see if her victim was ok.
The Dodge Caliber was parked just outside the store and, as the driver wanted to leave, instead of going backwards it went forwards, hitting Ethiopian immigrant Gejea Ejeta. Gejea got thrown through the store's window, but survived the accident with just a broken leg. As the Caliber stops, the front passenger walks away while checking her mobile phone.
From the back, a second passenger is trying desperately to get out of the vehicle. Apparently, the driver was under the influence at the time of the event.
