| This is one of the first reviews of the new 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder, which has been unveiled just three months ago in New York. The 2016 Boxster Spyder used for this test is priced at 60,459 GBP. Its power comes from the same 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine as the one in the Cayman GT4. However, in the Boxster Spyder this engine outputs 375 hp instead of the 385 hp of the Cayman. However, thanks to a lower weight of just 1,315 kg, the 2016 Boxster Spyder should be quicker in a straight line. According to Porsche's official specifications, the new Boxster Spyder (2016) is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. It tops at 290 km/h. The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder used for this review comes with the 6-speed manual transmission. This means it develops 420Nm and that it emits 230g/km of CO2. Porsches official fuel efficiency figures for this particular model say it offers 28.5mpg in the combined cycle. | |||||
