Chris Harris recently conducted a comparison test between the new 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series. As you're probably imagining, the comparison test has been done on the race track. Here are a few technical specifications for all three sport coupes. The 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 is powered by a 3.8-liter boxer engine that puts out 475 hp and 324 lb-ft (438 Nm) of torque. With this engine, Porsche's new 911 GT3 (2014) is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S hides under its hood a 6.0-litre engine that delivers 573 PS (565 bhp) and 620 Nm (457 lb ft) of torque. Aston's V12 Vantage S can rocket from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds, which is odd since it has almost 100 hp more than the Porsche. The Mercedes C63 AMG Black is powered by a 6.2-liter engine that spits out 380 kW (517 hp) and 620 Nm of torque. Out of the three, the Merc is the slowest accelerating one, with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time of 4.2 seconds.
