200 Dacia Units Off EU Streets After Train Crash

Various sources are reporting today that around 200 Dacia units will stay off EU streets after they were destroyed in a big train crash. The train that was carrying the 200 Dacia Logan, Sandero and Duster models derailed in Austria as it was heading for France. The train loaded the 200 Dacia units from the manufacturing plant in Romania.

The cars involved in the crash can no longer be sold as they were seriously damaged. The total loss revolves around the 5 million EUR mark. Official numbers regarding the loss caused by the train crash have not been released yet.

The train went off the rails as it was travelling at around 60 km/h when the brakes failed in

a curve. Ten of the 16 wagons derailed sending the Dacias head-on in the dirt along the track.
