The first images of the Dacia Hamster have surfaced today on the Romanian forum. The Dacia Hamster seems to be the electric version of the Sandero. If the name is true and the car is not a hoax, it means the Dacia Hamster E4WD will have the same powertrain as the electric Dacia Grand Sandero concept car developed by the CNCSIS Romanian Scientific Research center. The name of the Dacia Hamster E4WD implies the car is fitted with an electric motor and four-wheel-drive. The Dacia Hamster E4WD could also be powered by a petrol hybrid system, instead of the single electric motor, but these are all speculations at the moment.
Although the Dacia Hamster E4WD is based on the Sandero, it does show a few design changes.
The rear of the Dacia Hamster E4WD shows new light clusters, while the front has re-designed headlights and bumper.
The Dacia Hamster E4WD is just a scientific project at the moment and there is no information available whether or not the car will ever hit the production line.
