2009 F1 rule changes video

 »  »  »

In the following video, Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull explain the 2009 F1 rule changes. The most obvious one is the new front and rear wing design. The front wing sits lower and is wider, while the rear one is narrower and sits higher. These changes reduce grip and the weight behind, which results in more overtaking. The new F1 car design also features two front flaps that can be adjusted by 6 degrees. The maximum revs of the 2009 F1 cars has been reduced from 19,000 to 18,000 and some of them are now equipped with KERS. This system allows for an 82 hp increase in power each lap. Slick tires are also back.
