Ford released today an update on the 2012 Focus ST, which has just entered its final stages of testing. The Blue Oval confirmed today that the latest generation 2012 Focus ST will go on sale next year in Europe and North America. Currently, Ford sent out a fleet of 60 pre-production 2012 Focus ST prototypes which will be tested on both continents. Ford also released two images of one of these prototypes, so you'd recognize them when they pass you on the Autobahn.
Ford's new Focus ST 2012 is powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine developing 250 PS that promises to offer an improved fuel consumption in comparison to its predecessor.

Performance Products, Ford of Europe, says the 2012 Focus ST tries to improve on the ride, steering and handling of the current EU version of the ST. Ford's 2012 Focus ST offers a lower sitting position for the driver, and more supportive seats.
