Ford Focus ST Out Of Production

 »  »  »

After the beloved Honda Civic Type R, the Ford Focus ST is the second hot hatch to go out production. The reason is the same - CO2 emission standards. According to British sources, the Ford Focus ST will go out of production since the manufacturer will not make it comply with the Euro V emissions standards. The future looks slower/darker by the minute for hot hatch fans. Well, the RS seems to still be available.

The Euro V emissions standards become mandatory from January 2011, so if you're looking to buy a Ford Focus ST or a Honda Civic Type R, you still have a few month left. From next year, they are history.

Here's a list of hot budget models you won't be

able to buy from next year: Ford Focus ST, Honda Civic Type R, Mazda RX8 and Alfa Romeo Brera. This list could grow over the next months, but let's hope it will not be the case.
