Speculations say the 2012 Ford Focus ST might output a healthy 250 hp and 350 Nm of torque which places it an ECU update away from the RS. With 250 hp, the 2012 Ford Focus ST will get on the same level with the new Megane RS.
The 2012 Ford Focus ST might get from 0 to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds and up to a limited top
speed of the usual 155 mph (250 km/h). Some believe the new 2012 ST might offer a 35 mpg fuel consumption and a 187g/km CO2 emissions level. The power of the 2012 Focus ST will still go to the front wheels via a manual gearbox.
The 2012 Ford Focus ST is expected to have a torque vectoring system that will shift the umpf between the two front wheels for better handling. The new version will also offer the driver the possibility to set the throttle response and steering weight according to its preferences.
