New 2012 Ford Focus ST info has surfaced today together with the fact that the world premiere of the new version will take place in October at the Paris Auto Show. It seems that the new 2012 Ford Focus ST will drop the 2.5-liter engine for a more fuel efficient 2.0-liter unit. the new engine of the 2012 Ford Focus ST will have EcoBoost, turbocharging and direct injection so the power should still be there. Speculations say the 2012 Ford Focus ST might output a healthy 250 hp and 350 Nm of torque which places it an ECU update away from the RS. With 250 hp, the 2012 Ford Focus ST will get on the same level with the new Megane RS.

The 2012 Ford Focus ST might get from 0 to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds and up to a limited top

speed of the usual 155 mph (250 km/h). Some believe the new 2012 ST might offer a 35 mpg fuel consumption and a 187g/km CO2 emissions level. The power of the 2012 Focus ST will still go to the front wheels via a manual gearbox.

The 2012 Ford Focus ST is expected to have a torque vectoring system that will shift the umpf between the two front wheels for better handling. The new version will also offer the driver the possibility to set the throttle response and steering weight according to its preferences.



The 2012 Ford Focus ST price is not known yet, but the new version is expected to go on sale later in 2011.
