The Mountune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC managed to get its first pole position in the British Touring Car Championship with driver Tom Chilton. The Team Aon run Mountune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC represents the first LPG powered car ever to get a pole in the British series. Tom Chilton started on the second row of the grid on Saturday.
The Mountune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC is powered by a 2 liter Duratec engine which represents an evolution of the engine used by the team last season. The Mountune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC is fitted with a new fuel injection system and a turbocharger which were not present on the previous version from 2009.
The next race of the tune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC will be the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship which will be held at Brands Hatch 1-2 May, 2010.
