The Blue Oval has just released the initial details and first images of the new generation 2012 Ford Focus ST. The new 2012 Ford Focus ST will have its global premiere at the Paris Auto Show at the end of September, together with the complete new Focus family. Although it will hit the spotlights this year, the 2012 Ford Focus ST will go on sale in 2012, after the regular version will hit the showroom floor next year.
The 2012 Ford Focus ST is powered by a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine that develops 250 PS. The torque output of the 2012 Ford Focus ST has not been announced yet.
The manufacturer says the new 2012 Ford Focus ST will offer exhilarating performance and handling
together with an addictive sound. The company also mentions that the new 2012 Ford Focus ST is its first model to be developed under the new global Performance Vehicles strategy.
As far as the design of the 2012 Ford Focus ST goes, it will have a new front bumper with a large grille, new side skirts and a rear roof spoiler. The highlight of the design of the 2012 Ford Focus ST is, as far as we're concerned, the center exhaust pipes. The interior of the 2012 Focus ST has also been re-designed and now features sportier seats and what seems to be carbon-fiber inserts on the dashboard.
The 2012 Ford Focus ST price list will be announced at a later date.

The new range-topping Focus – which features a unique 250 PS version of the new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine – will be completely true to Ford's ST heritage, offering driving enthusiasts an intoxicating cocktail of exhilarating performance and handling accompanied by an addictive sound.
Visitors to the Paris display also cannot fail to notice the show car’s highly distinctive sports exterior, which is finished in 'Tangerine Scream', a dramatic new body color that reflects the 2012 Focus ST’s exciting and energetic character.
