At the end of last week, Mercedes released the first images to show the interior of the 2012 B Class. They also revealed several new details regarding the new generation model. The interior of the 2012 Mercedes B Class was designed at the company's Advanced Design Center in Como, Italy. It features such materials as ARTICO man-made leather, real wood and various other high quality trim parts. The 2012 B Class promises to offer 87 mm of knee clearance in the rear compartment, which is more than even the S Class, a 60:40 dividing rear seat backrest, and the EASY-VARIO-PLUS system as an optional extra. The EASY-VARIO-PLUS system allows the driver of the 2012 B Class Merc to positioned the rear seats differently along the longitudinal axis, by up to 140 mm.

Mercedes says you'll be able to equip your 2012 B Class with either a 147mm or a 178mm TFT color display, the same three-spoke steering wheel as the one used in the CLS, and an instrument cluster with four round, analogue displays.

Other features of the 2012 B Class' interior include indirect ambient lighting, and various galvanized surfaces. Mercedes will sell the 2012 B Class with a choice between three different interior packages, including the Exclusive, Chrome and Sports package.

We'll have more details on the 2012 Mercedes B Class as soon as they're available.
