Mercedes B Class Electric Drive Concept

Mercedes unveiled today in Paris an electric B Class, which is currently in a concept form. The Mercedes B Class Electric Drive is powered by an electric motor, which puts out 100 kW and 310 Nm of torque. This powertrain can take the electric B Class from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 10 seconds and up to a top speed of 150 km/h. Mercedes says that with a fully charged battery, the B Class electric is able to run for up to 200 km. If you're batter is empty, and you need to drive for a maximum of 100 km, you only need to recharge it for an hour. To save energy, Mercedes used the "keep it clean" philosophy when designing the interior of the electric B Class. They removed any unnecessary electronic gadgets, which could also distract the driver. However, they did keep internet connectivity.

You can access your electric Mercedes B Class via your smartphone. Using your smartphone, you can check and configure your B Class Electric Drive, you can display your planned route, and start the pre-entry climate control.
