SsangYong revealed today at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt the 2012 SUT-1 production version. SsangYong's SUT-1 was presented for the first time, in a concept form, at the Geneva auto show back in February. The 2012 SsangYong SUT-1 weighs between 1,873 and 1,995 kg, and measures 4,990 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,790 mm in height and has a 3,060 wheelbase. Top power their new 2012 SUT-1, SsangYong uses a 2.0-liter diesel engine developing 114 kW / 155 PS from 3,400 rpm to 4,000 rpm and 360 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 2,800 rpm. Its top speed is rated at 170 km/h, its fuel consumption, depending on the transmission, between 7.1 and 8.0 l/100 km, and its CO2 emissions between 186 and 211 g/km.

The SsangYong SUT-1 will be available with

a choice between a 6-spped manual transmission and a six-speed automatic, and with both a rear wheel drive and a 4WD all-wheel-drive system.

The SsangYong SUT-1 4x4 pickup truck opens a new market segment for the brand, which aims to offer an affordable, yet reliable work horse. SsangYong also aims for "Premium" with their new SUT-1 pick-up, as well as Eco friendly.



SsangYong's 2012 SUT-1 comes with all the standard equipment you would expect to find in this type of vehicle. It features climate control, steering wheel controls, Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a few more up-scale appointments. For the 2012 SUT-1, SsangYong is offering a leather upholstery, heated front seats, a sunroof, and a leather steering wheel.

In terms of safety, the SsangYong SUT-1 features dual airbags, Daytime running lights, an ESP, ABS, Active Rollover Protection and a Reversing warning system. SsangYong will announce the price list of the new SUT-1 at a later date.
