SsangYong revealed the KEV2 concept at the Seoul Motor Show, as another statement of their commitment to environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The SsangYong KEV2 is a pure electric concept with an aggressive appearance and a masculine body design. SsangYong's KEV2 features dynamic robust bumpers and, as a unique design element, a three-dimensional structure lamp design.

The SsangYong KEV2 is powered by a 120 kW electric motor juiced by a 35 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that promises a maximum range of 180 km. SsangYong says the KEV2 weighs 1750 kg and has a top speed of 150km/h. The KEV2 can be fully re-charged in eight hours from a standard outlet, or in 30 minutes using a higher-voltage rapid-charge one.

SsangYong developed the KEV2 with the younger generation mind, which usually spends most of its time in an urban environment. The SsangYong KEV2 features a tablet PC mounted in the center console, stylish alloy wheels and other elements meant to encourage the younger buyer.
