MG revealed recently the new MG3 Trophy Championship concept, which could spawn a future racing car. The new MG3 Trophy is powered by a modified 1.5-liter VTi Tech engine that features a turbocharger, billet aluminum pistons, and new camshafts. As you can imagine, there is also a reprogrammed Engine Control Unit (ECU). According to MG, the new MG3 Trophy develops 207 hp and 260 Nm of torque. This is an extra 101 hp and 124 Nm over the street legal MG3. For such a low weight vehicle, this means a lot. Apart from the 50 percent extra power, the MG3 Trophy is also equipped with improved aerodynamics, which include a new front bumper and splitter, side skirts, a modified rear apron and a roof spoiler. MG equipped the new MG3 Trophy with a limited slip differential, a bespoke sport exhaust system, an adjustable sport suspension system and 17-inch alloys.

At the interior, the MG3 Trophy is equipped with a roll cage, sport bucket seats, a fire extinguisher system and a sport steering wheel. We'll have more details about the MG3 Trophy as soon as MG makes them available.
