SsangYong released today two teaser images of their second XIV concept, which it will be premiered at the 2012 Geneva auto show. The SsangYong XIV-2, which is a CUV (crossover utility vehicle) concept, gets its name from "eXciting User Interface Vehicle 2". The XIV-2 measures 4,166mm in length, 1,820mm in width, 1,566mm in height and has a 2,600mm wheelbase. Having the rugged look of an SUV, SsangYong's XIV-2 concept is trying to offer the same driving experience as an open-top sports car. If features a fabric roof (soft-top), which can be opened with a touch of a button.
The power of the SsangYong XIV-2 comes from 1.6 liter diesel and petrol engines, which comply with the Euro VI emissions standards.
SsangYong hopes that XIV-2's futuristic appearance will appeal the younger generation of buyers.
