VW has released new images of the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift, together with additional details and engine line-up. The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan TSI model range will have engines with power outputs ranging from 90 kW / 122 PS and 155 kW / 210 PS and TDI units ranging from 81 kW / 110 PS to 125 kW / 170 PS. The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan will be put on sale with the optional 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox, BlueMotion technology and a Start / Stop system. VW says the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan will be able to offer a fuel consumption of up to 0.7 l/100 km. Apart from the regular front-wheel-drive, for off-road needs, the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan will also be sold with VW's 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.

with a full list of specs and options will be released at the time of its global premiere, at the Geneva auto show early next month.

As we previously speculated, the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift will actually be offered in two versions: one oriented towards normal roads use, and the other one for off-road duty. The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Track & Style will be the off-road version of the new SUV. It's equipment list will include a higher, 28 degrees slope angle for the front, a new front bumper and front underguards.



The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Sport & Style is the urban use version, that comes with an 18 degrees slope angle and a more refined front design.

The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan equipment list will include Dynamic Light Beam Assist and Lane Assist, a fatigue detection system, and an XDS electronic differential.

The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan price list for Germany starts at 24,175 EUR.
