Volkswagen Tiguan LWB

The German press is reporting today that the Volkswagen Tiguan LWB long wheelbase model will be launched in China. The Volkswagen Tiguan LWB has to be one of the first long wheelbase SUVs out there, if not the first one ever. Don't you think those Chinese are taking it a bit to far with those stretched, chauffeur oriented versions? The Volkswagen Tiguan LWB measures 4.54 m in length and has an 8 inch longer wheelbase than the standard Tiguan. This puts it just 26 cm short of the bigger Touareg.

The exterior of the Volkswagen Tiguan LWB looks just the same as the Chinese, facelifted version of the small SUV. The new stretched SUV is expected to premiere at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November 2010.

VW has not released any information regarding the engines or specification of the Volkswagen Tiguan LWB yet. Its price will be announced at a later date.

The Volkswagen Tiguan LWB will not be sold in Europe. We wonder why...
