The new generation 2014 Chevrolet Silverado had its world debut at the beginning of this week during the opening of the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit. Chevrolet says that the new 2014 Silverado 1500 full-size pickup is completely new, inside and out. In terms of exterior design, Chevy's 2014 Silverado is more muscular and more aerodynamic for an improved fuel efficiency. The new Chevy Silverado (2014) comes with modified front bumper, a twin-port grille, a dual power dome hood, fender flares and new inlaid doors that manage to reduce cabin noise. At the interior, the new Chevrolet Silverado (2014) features a 6-gauge instrument cluster, countless storage spaces, and a new center console. The 2014 Silverado 1500 crew cabs now also offer a longer 6’6” foot box.

The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado is going to be sold with a choice between three engines. These include a 4.3-liter V6, a 5.3L V8 and a 6.2L V8, each of them being mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Auto Grade Braking.

Chevrolet is offering for the new Silverado (2014) quite a few safety features, some of which can't be found on other models of the segment. These include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning with an Active Safety Seat, and Front and Rear Park Assist. The StabiliTrak with Trailer Sway Control and the Hill Start Assist system are standard on all versions of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.

The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado's price is going to be announced at a later. A full description of the new pick-up truck, as well as its specifications are available here.
