Eric Vigouroux Racing in collaboration with Jefferies Racing announced their participation in the 2014 Dakar rally with two Chevrolet Silverado rally cars. Called the EVR Proto VX-101 Rally Raid concept, the Chevy Silverado is going to be driven in the 2014 Dakar rally by Eric Vigouroux (France) and American off road racing ace 'Ballistic' BJ Baldwin. The EVR Proto VX-101 Rally Raid concept is powered by a LS7 Corvette Racing V8 engine, which is mated to a Fortin sequential transmission. Sadly, Vigouroux did not disclose any other technical details regarding this Silverado-base Dakar racer. Judging from the two sketches they released, the Dakar-prepped Silverado comes with a heavily modified and lifted suspension, huge off-road tires, and an extensively modified body.
