Chevrolet Silverado Black Ops and Volunteer Firefighter

 »  »  »

To promote the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, General Motors revealed today two new concepts based on the new generation of the pick-up truck. The Chevrolet Silverado Black Ops is based on the Crew Cab 4x4. It comes with an interesting black exterior finish, huge black rims with yellow accents, and a winch. The Chevy Silverado Black Ops is also equipped with a custom lower body armor, and a lockable, bed-mounted Truck Vault storage unit. The Silverado Black Ops' vault can carry anything from solar power packs, gas masks and gloves to military First Aid Kits, folding shovels and ropes. The Silverado Volunteer Firefighter is based on the Double Cab version of the pick-up and it comes equipped with the Z71 Off Road suspension.

To develop the Silverado Volunteer Firefighter, Chevrolet worked in collaboration with the United States National Volunteer Fire Council. The Volunteer Firefighter Silverado comes with most of the equipment you'd expect from a full-fledged firefighting vehicle.

The Chevrolet Silverado Black Ops and the Volunteer Firefighter had their public debut last Friday at the State Fair of Texas.
