Ford is going to premiere at this year's Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin a very special, one-off 2015 Mustang. Ford's military-themed 2015 Mustang is inspired by the new F-35 Lightning II fighter jet, which was developed by Lockheed Martin. The 2015 Ford F35 Lightning II Mustang is going to be auctioned during the EAA Gathering of Eagles event on July 31. The Lightning II Mustang is the latest modified Mustangs, from a long list of jet fighter inspired models. The new muscle car was developed by Ford Design Manager Melvin Betancourt and Mustang Chief Engineer Dave Pericak. Some of the mode obvious design changes include a massive front splitter, a new grille, a modified hood, and a boot lid wing.

The F35 Lightning II Mustang is also fitted with a bespoke set of wheel finished in matt gray, and a distinctive livery.

Ford did not disclose any technical details regarding the Lightning II Mustang.
