Michael Bay, the director of Transformers 5: The Last Knight, introduced this week the new version of Barricade. Barricade is the meanest looking Police Interceptor we have ever seen. It is based on the new generation of the Ford Mustang and as far as we know, it fights for the dark side, the Decepticons. According to Michael Bay, Barricade's purpose is "to punish and enslave". "Transformers: The Last Knight" is going to be launched next summer and it will also feature an updated version of the much loved Bumblebee. Bumblebee is now based on the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro and it comes with quite a few modifications too.
Apart from all the bells and whistles you would expect from a Police Interceptor, Barricade comes with muscular wheel arches, a huge rear wing, modified side skirts, an outrageous hood with two massive intakes, a modified front bumper and bull bars.
Barricade's sinister look is completed by black rims and darkened headlights.
Michael Bay did not disclose a whole lot of details regarding the fifth installment of the Transformers franchise. However, we do now that Mark Wahlberg will return as Cade Yeager and that Josh Duhamel is going to be Lieutenant Colonel William Lennox. Bay also says that "Transformers: The Last Knight" will feature Sir Anthony Hopkins, but he did not disclose the renowned actor's role.
