The new generation 2015 Mercedes S600 had its world debut today in Detroit, at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. The new 2015 Mercedes S600 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine that develops 390 kW (530 hp) and 830 Nm of torque from 1900 rpm. Thanks to a newly introduced ECO start/stop function, the Mercedes S600 (2015) offers a fuel consumption of 11.1 litres/100 km, which is 21% lower than it predecessor. The 2015 S600's engine features an all-aluminum crankcase, one-piece chain drive, a forged crankshaft and pistons, a new ECU, dedicated ignition coil with twin-spark ignition, cam follower, and two intake and one outlet valves. Merc's new S600 (2015) comes equipped with a head-up display, touchpad and the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS package.

The equipment list of the new Merc S600 (2015) also includes an LED Intelligent Light System, the MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension with ROAD SURFACE SCAN and the Driving Assistance package Plus. The new S600 (2015) is also equipped with Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS with STEER CONTROL and Stop&Go Pilot, PRE-SAFE Brake and PRE-SAFE PLUS.
