Mercedes revealed this week the new 2016 Maybach S600 Guard armored limousine, which offers a VR10 ballistic protection. This is currently the highest certified level. As you can imagine, Daimler did not disclose a whole lot of details regarding the Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard. However, they do mention that the armored limo's bodywork and windows can withstand hardened steel core bullets fired from an assault rifle. The Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard also offers a blast protection in accordance with Directive ERV 2010. The new Maybach S600 Guard measures 5453 mm in length and it has a 3365 mm wheelbase, which means it's 20 cm longer than the S Class sedan.
The Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard comes with special steel protective components integrated into the cavities between the body structure and the outer skin, various aramid and PE components, intelligent overlapping systems, and special windows coated with polycarbonate.
The Mercedes Maybach S600 Guard's price starts at €470,000 plus VAT.
