Mercedes S500 Hybrid Power Kit by Brabus

The renowned Mercedes tuners from Brabus revealed today a power kit and various accessories for the S500 Hybrid. Called the Brabus B50 Hybrid, the new powerkit increases the output of the luxury sedan's powertrain by 38 kW / 52 hp (51 bhp) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) for a total of 368 kW / 500 hp (493 bhp) and 890 Nm (656 lb-ft) of torque. With the extra horsepower, the Brabus Mercedes S500 Hybrid is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. Its top speed continues to be electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). Needless to say, even with the power kit installed, the Brabus Mercedes S500 Hybrid complies with the strict EURO VI emissions standards. The new powerkit from Brabus includes a re-mapped ECU and a stainless-steel sports exhaust system with four tailpipes.

Apart from the performance package, the Brabus Mercedes S500 Hybrid is also equipped with a new body kit which is made from PUR and carbon fiber. It includes front and rear bumpers, a front splitter, a rear diffuser, side skirts and a discreet boot lid spoiler. Brabus says that their new body kit for the Mercedes S500 Hybrid has been aerodynamically optimized in the wind tunnel. The Brabus Mercedes S500 Hybrid comes equipped with LED lights integrated underneath the rocker panels, 19-, 20-, 21- or 22-inch wheels, and a lowering module that reduces the car's ride height by 15 mm.

For the interior of the Mercedes S500 Hybrid, Brabus is offering a leather and Alcantara upholstery, as well as the iBusiness multimedia system. The price of these modifications has not been disclosed yet.
