Mitsubishi revealed today the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport at the 2015 LA Auto Show. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport comes with a new exterior and interior design, updated engines and new technology. At the exterior, the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (2016) features the Dynamic Shield design concept, power folding side mirrors, and 18-inch alloys. At the interior, the 2016 Outlander Sport comes with a new steering wheel, a 6.1" Display Audio System and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport measures 171.5 in. in length, 64.2 in. in height, 71.3 in. in width and it has a 105.1 in. wheelbase. Mitsubishi is going to sell the 2016 Outlander Sport with a choice between two engines.

The entry level model is going to have a 2.0-liter MIVEC developing 148 hp at 6,000 rpm and 145 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. The more powerful version comes with a 2.4-liter engine that puts out 168 hp at 6,000 rpm and 167 lb-ft of torque 4,200 rpm. Both versions of the 2016 Outlander Sport come with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a Sportonic Continuously-variable transmission.

The equipment list of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport includes ABS with EBD, Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic (TCL), Hill Start Assist and a Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) safety cell body construction.
